Arknights: Endfield [Official Release Preview] DEV Comm

Dear Endministrator:

This is the Arknights: Endfield Team. The official release will mark the beginning of our journey together. As the release approaches, we would like to use this DEV Comm to share the major optimizations and adjustments made in the official release.

Game Progression and Exploration

· Main Mission Adjustments: We have lowered the Authority Level requirements for certain main missions and streamlined the early main missions in Valley IV to improve the narrative pacing.

· Exploration Rewards Increased: We have increased the overall Oroberyl rewards from crates. Certain crates are upgraded, which contain rewards like [Oroberyl]×150.

Automated Industry Complex (AIC)

· Building Experience Optimizations: We have optimized guidance prompts for the AIC Factory; improved the visual feedback for transport belts and pipes to clearly indicate whether they are properly connected to facilities.

· Mobile Experience Optimizations: We have enhanced the operational convenience of the top view mode on mobile devices, improved the tactile feel of constructing transport belts, and optimized the logic for bulk operations on pipes.

Regional Development System

· Stock Redistribution Screen Optimizations: A [Sold Out] category has been added to the Staple Goods screen. Items that are currently sold out will now be automatically grouped under this category and moved to the end of the list.

· Depot Node Optimizations: We have increased the rewards for [Delivery Job]. Completing delivery jobs posted by other players will now grant a certain amount of credit.

· Environment Monitoring Center Adjustments: We have adjusted the commission refresh interval. Instead of refreshing all commissions weekly, the frequency has been changed to one new commission every two days.

· New Regional Development Progress Notifications: When Recycling Stations, Stock Redistribution Terminals, depot nodes, or monitoring terminals within a region are available to be unlocked or upgraded, a notification will now appear under [Map - Mission Reminder - Key Mission].

Combat System

· Action Fluidity Optimizations: We have refined combat controls for a better feel; casting most battle skills and combo skills will no longer interrupt basic attack sequences.

· Damage Feedback Optimizations: We have adjusted the on-screen visual effects when the controlled operator takes damage, providing clearer feedback during combat.

Operator Acquisition and Progression

· Easier Progression: We have lowered the level caps for operators and weapons, and reduced the enemy levels in Protocol Spaces and certain Energy Alluvium sites. Additionally, we have increased both the availability and quantity of early-game progression materials.

· New [Urgent Recruitment]: A new [Urgent Recruitment] feature has been added to [Chartered Headhunting]. After performing 30 headhunting attempts, you will receive 10 bonus Urgent Recruitment attempts (which count as 1 free 10× headhunting attempt). The rates for obtaining operators through Urgent Recruitment are the same as the base drop rates of [Chartered Headhunting], and the free 10× headhunting attempt guarantees a 5★ or higher operator. These attempts do not count toward the guarantee for [Chartered Headhunting]. They also will not be added to the total headhunting attempts required for [Chartered Headhunting] rewards.

In other words, if you obtain the Rate-UP operator of the current banner during an Urgent Recruitment 10× attempt, it will not affect the guarantee for [Chartered Headhunting], which grants the Rate-UP 6★ operator within the first 120 attempts.

· Quota Exchange Adjustments: The [HH Permits] exclusive to the current [Chartered Headhunting] banner, which were previously purchasable using [Bond Quota], have now been adjusted to be purchased using [AIC Quota]. After a 4★ or 5★ operator reaches maximum potential, their corresponding [Tokens] can be converted into [AIC Quota]. Additionally, each time a 5★ or 6★ weapon is obtained via [Arsenal Issue], [AIC Quota] will also be granted.

· Protocol Pass Optimizations: We have diversified the mission types for the [Protocol Pass] and increased rewards across all tiers.

· Gift-Giving Optimizations: We have improved the tag displays for gifts when giving them to operators. Additionally, a new [Popular] tag has been added to certain gifts. This tag will change with each version update. Giving a gift with this tag will provide increased trust bonus just like giving an operator one of their preferred gifts.

Weapon and Gear System

· New [Matching Weapon] Feature: A [Matching Weapon] feature has been added to the [Operator - Weapons] screen. This tool recommends the best-matched weapon based on the current operator's skills and attributes.

· Arsenal Issue Adjustments: We have extended the duration of [Arsenal Issue] and added a new method to exchange [Origeometries] for [Arsenal Tickets].

· Gear Artificing Optimizations: Performing gear artificing of a particular gear stat builds up and stores artificing progress. Reaching the progress limit guarantees success for the next artificing attempt of this stat. Individual artificing attempts still have a chance of direct success; using gear marked as [Good Match] as materials will further increase the chance of direct success. Additionally, the Gear Artificing screen has been optimized to make the artificing progress display more intuitive.

Story and Narrative Performances

· Added [Laevatain] Side Mission: [Let Fire Consume the Ashen Past].

· Optimized the pacing and camera work in certain story scenes.

· Factory facilities within the scene will be hidden from view during immersive cutscenes, such as operator side missions.

· Optimized sound propagation and overall audio feel, making sound effects more realistic in certain scenarios.

Social Gameplay and Features

· A new [Clue Collection] gameplay feature has been added to the Dijiang Reception Room. You can now earn credit rewards through clue collection and exchange.

· Shared facilities that receive a high number of repairs will now display more elaborate visual effects as a token of appreciation for the mutual assistance between players.

Permanent Gameplay Modes

· New [Weekly Routine]: A permanent [Weekly Routine] screen has been added to the Event Center. By completing a variety of missions that refresh every week, you can reliably obtain rewards such as Oroberyls, Arsenal Tickets, and progression materials.

· [Umbral Monument] Gameplay Optimizations: [Umbral Monument] has been adjusted to a permanent game mode, and the difficulty of certain stages has been reduced. You can now bring tacticals into the stage when challenging it in Normal Mode. Additionally, a limited-time event, [Monumental Etching], will launch alongside the opening of these stages. During the event, clearing the corresponding [Umbral Monument] stages in Normal Mode will grant the full [Oroberyl] rewards.

· New Permanent Puzzle Gameplay: [Delver of the Cryptic], a permanent puzzle-based challenge mode will be introduced. This gameplay consists of various Protocol Spaces primarily featuring puzzle stages, with rewards available for completing the challenges.

Performance and Multi-Platform Compatibility

· The PC version will add a 120 FPS option. On supported hardware, it will also offer NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation options for a smoother visual experience.

· On certain iOS devices, Ray Tracing will be available in specific scenes.

· Depending on your platform, a new preview feature, [Device Load] or [Estimated GPU Memory Usage] has been added to the Settings menu. This will help you determine how well the current settings align with your device's capabilities.

· A mobile [Controller] mode has been added, providing more options for Endministrators who prefer controllers.

· We have optimized controller interaction details across various scenarios, including the Factory, exploration, and combat, to improve overall operational convenience.

Multilingual Localization

· On mobile devices, a new feature has been added to download and manage language-specific voice-over packs as separate resources. You can download them as needed during initial login or in the Settings menu.

· Terminologies for certain languages have been revised to ensure more accuracy of the text.

The official release includes numerous other bug fixes, optimizations, and new content that could not be fully detailed here. We invite all Endministrators to experience them firsthand in-game. We will continue to monitor your feedback and, through ongoing updates and optimizations, work together with you to refine the future of Talos-II.

We're extremely grateful for your continued patience, interest, and support, Endministrator! We hope to see you soon on Talos-II!
